General Information about the Society

The Friends of the Centre for the History of Defence Electronics began supporting the work of CHiDE in 1995.

In 2002, with the assimilation of CHiDE into the Oral History Research Unit, the 'Friends' were re-formed as the Defence Electronics History Society. DEHS is an autonomous group run by a committee of dedicated volunteers, with around 200 members worldwide.
