Greta
first joined Midland Woodworking Company in 1951. Unlike a number of the
employees, Greta did not join MidWood straight from school, as she looked
after her elderly parents. She learned how to type at a local night school
before she worked for the Ordnance Depot as a shorthand typist, and then
went on to MidWood.
