Dec 7th, 8th and 9th Life of a WAAF...

Mon Dec 7th and Tues Dec 8th

Have never been so tired. The reason I have been on "night bind" from midnight to 6:30am. Slept from 8-12:30 then up for lunch. PT lectures etc. Another hour or two sleep in evening then on watch again.

Wed Dec 9th

Still tired but tonight is last night duty. The rest of the training at Yatesbury was split between day and evening duties. The tiredness was agrivated as part of our hut was occupied by cooks, some of whom got up at 4:30am or went to bed at midnight a continued stream of WAAF either getting up or going to bed. Christmas and New Year were marvellous for the WAAF, we were invited to parties in all four wings- The Radio School. No. 4 Wing- the only one to have women apart from a few permanent staff. The radio school was some distance from the main camp- so quite a march to go on duty. I lfet Yatesbury on Jan 14th for leave before a posting to YY wing at Liverpool and then on to Prestatyn CHL radar station.
