The Furniture...

Apart from a bed chair and a rug I cannot recollect any RAF furniture provided in the huts. We lived out of our kit bags and most of us had an old wooden ammunition box for storage of shoes and cleaning materials. In the summer of 1987 I returned to Winterton for a visit and found "Rose Villa" still in use as a holiday home.
