The site has an impressive virtual museum and has topics ranging from archaeology to postal history. A large site packed with information. National Aviation Museum (Canada) This museum looks at the influence and impacts of aviation on both society and technology over the last century. The site has a large pictorial archive of over 100 planes, each with a full description. These planes are listed under 3 categories: Alphabetical, Period, and Use. Military Communications and Electronics Museum (Canada). A museum giving an overview of the communication and electronics of the Canadian armed forces. With the themes of Troops, Times, and Technology. All encased within a concise, but well written, history of military technology. Canadian Forces Communications and Electronics Branch. Similar to the above site, this offers information and the history of Canadian Communications and Electronics. This is based on the work and reflections of Captain J.A. MacKenzie. The history section is written in chapters and offers an indepth look at the history from the end of the 1800's to MacKenzies death in 1994. The full history can be downloaded as a Zip file. |
