Click here to listenRats and mice again- anyone who had or saw rats on their premises by law had to notify the local authorities that rats were around and made sure was dealt with quickly to eliminate any possible infestation. In those days warafin was used- and was found to be very effective for both rats and mice- but now they seem to have immunity against it.

There seemed to be more bedbugs in those days because people put wallpaper on top of wallpaper on top of wallpaper and that was ideal sleeping accomodation for bedbugs. It meant property had to be fumigated, we put in DDT, not used now, and fumigated as usual.
