Part III of the DDA- Access to Goods and Services came into force on the 1st October 1999 and requires a service provider to take reasonable steps to provide auxiliary aids if this would enable disabled persons to make use of any goods, facilities or services which it offers to the public. An example of an auxiliary aid is quoted in the Act as: "...the provision of information on audio tape."
