Oh yes, there wasn't a lawn when we first went there, so I fed the ground and planted it with cauliflowers and they were gorgeous weren't they - huge white cauliflowers, and when they were finished, the ground broke up nicely and we had a nice lawn.

Can you remember your first lawnmower?

Qualcast wasn't it? Cylinder Qualcast, one of the cheapest, we didn't have a lot of money in those days.

And was it a handmower?

Oh yes.

It cut a good lawn?

Oh, it did a very good job.
