Ronald wrote to the director of the Talking Book Service in London- Don Roskilly. He wrote back and was extremely enthusiastic about the project. The idea had been mentioned many times before in the UK, but no one had the concept of linking 12000 local newspapers for the local blind community. Don Roskilly said that he would support the scheme and suggested that in order to get the tapes copied, Ronald should go to Clarke and Smith who produced a special cassette, a kidney shaped cassette about 8 inches long which played for 12 hours.
