Number 16 Barn Hill is a listed building and is featured in the Royal Commission for Historical Monuments. One of the original rooms remains intact, it is the Priest's Room, there are also a lot of medieval and 15th century architectural features left - mainly oak panelling, wooden beams, stone work, walls and fireplaces. Barn Hill has always been an important building site and used to be a centre for Proclamations. In the 18th century William Stukeley- an Antiquarian became very interested in the architecture of Barn Hill and he consequently wrote about and sketched the buildings.
